Hello, I've been lurking around these forums recently, soaking up the knowledge that you guys provide on a consistant basis....so thank you! I haven't applied for a new CC in over 4 years so I figured it was time. On Tuesday of last week, I applied for the Cap 1 VentureOne card online as I had got a "pre-qualified" offer in the mail. It initally said that they would have to review it further. Wednesday I got an email from them asking for what I'm assuming was identity verification (Photo ID/Social verification and address verification) as I do have an Active Duty alert so I sent them that info. I did try to call the automated status line over the weekend but it just kept saying "We have recieved your application, let us transfer you to someone who can give you more info". Of course, they were closed as I live in Hawaii. Fast forward to Monday of this week and I called and actually talked to a CSR. The CSR said that it looked like they were looking for docs, so I told him I already uploaded them. He checked further and saw the redacted docs and said "It says it's being reviewed...it usually takes about 3 weeks, but check back next week as sometimes it's sooner." I checked the automated status again today and it has changed to "We've recieved your application and are currently reviewing it...we'll send more information to your mailing address within the next 10 business days". Just wondering what you all think my chances are?
FYI - A quick credit profile history....
- About 10 years of history
- Includes student loans, car loan, unsecured loan, mortgage, USAA Platinum CC with $16K limit
- Never missed a payment/no derogatory information/utilization under 30%
- Don't currently have a FICO score as I tried last Friday but they wanted to verify me as well and just haven't got around to it with the time difference. Vantage score was showing 730 for all 3 for what it's worth.
