Capital One app Attempt?

Hi all

I have been unable to get approved for a capital one quicksilver one or platinum. Well today while shopping at Khols i was approved for their store card. Can i safely try to apply for a quicksilver one withhout getting hard pull twice?

Congrats on the Kohl's approval!! I doubt you can try for another card and use the same HP because I believe Cap1 only pulls 1 bureau for Kohl's, while they pull all 3 for their regular cards.

I see, I wonder if they would approve me for one of their regular unsecured credit cards now that i was approved for kohls. I tried the prequalify tool but just says congrats i qualify for their secured card.

They have entirely different UW criteria.

The khols is co-branded and usually easier to get

You may not need to wait for a prequal, but maybe a few months

I'd wait until the cap one website gives you a pre-qual offer.

Patience.  I was only at first approved for the secured card.  Then 6 months down the road, was getting the Platinum and QS1 preapproval, but opted to keep the secured card and wait to see if the Venture/QS would show up and they did.  It will happen, but rushing it won't make it happen any sooner.
