Applied a few days ago and got the dreaded 7-10 day message, so I did a recon today, and was unfortunately still declined. They stated my rebuilding since BK was too new (they didn't seem to care that they'd been IIB, and while they got some money from my ch13, it wasn't a 100% payback. wasn't even mentioned. I was shocked!). I totally get that. I was hoping maybe my income could help overcome that, lol. Guess not. I asked how long they would like to see rebuliding going on, the rep said "it's subjective, someone else might think a shorter amount of time is okay". huh.
Anyway, do you guys think I should bother to recon again? I've seen some on here have some success with a different analyst calling back a second time. I'd like to squeeze the most out of my HP, but also I've read that they can see you've called in before, so that kinda turns me off from calling back a second time. This was the last card I wanted to get before I plant myself firmly in the garden. I suppose I could wait a few more months and try again, but I'm planning on traveling soon, and I wanted to take advantage of the card's perks.
I guess I've just been spoiled by getting approved for decent cards by luck, this recon stuff stinks 
Yet another reason to not mess up my credit ever again.
