Yep...Crap 1.
I be so happy to get away from them. 2 AU with a 4 year perfect payment history do not help getting my own unsecured account.
Can't jump away until I am able to acquire different credit line with Chase, Citibank, Discover, AMEX, Diner's, etc......until I get away from WF, US Bank and CRAP one.
Capital one declined every application I applied with for last 8 months.
Platinum, Journey, Quicksilver and venture.

I have an idea of how you feel. I have had good payment history for over 3 years, newest baddie is about to turn 4, and I'm sitting at 0% ute now. I recently got a CLI on both my unsecured cards, but applying for my preapproved CapOne Platinum MC they were only going to offer me a $300 credit limit (would be my lowest, except for Express Next card). It wasn't worth lowering my AAoA for. I might try for a discover, soon, though.
did you get a denied message right after you submitted the request? i applied and got a 2-3 days review message?
You may have good payment history but the baddie (unpaid) tax liens may be significant to their underwritters.

Denied for a CLI for Cap One QS and qualified for $200 secured mastercard.
What the hell am I going to do with a $200 secured card? I already have $300 secured with both US Bank and Wells Fargo. Neither have been graduated and have had both cards for over 2 years.
Certainly hit and miss these days.
It's a sign you need to stop applying. Give it some time. Not about the numbers. Good luck.
I think I will start gardening for at least a year.
Will consider additional credit building when the First premier charge off gets resolved.
Until then....I pay down the crads I got and stop using them.
Screw the banks and FICO

I know its frustrating and believe me I have been there but credit is a game of patience and if it takes anger to get you to garden so your scores improve then good but ultimately its just not time. Use what you have responsiblity and your fico will improve and the banks will grant you more.
