Thank You!!! I guess I for some reason thought I "needed" Cap 1 in my credit profile.  I dont know why, but that thought was in my head..on to bigger and better things...as soon as I make sure I garden for as long as possible!!

CapOne seems to serve two separate customers:

The first being the rebuilder.  You can get a card when others won’t lend and they’ll grow with you , TO A POINT.   They hit a point where they facilitate your entry back into credit but they don’t go too far.

Then they serve the Prime market with the Venture

They don’t seem to have a lot in between.
