FYI moving limit from another card will make you ineligible for a CLI for six months
I kinda figured it would.
should I try again and accept what it gives then transfers my limits or will it block the limit transfer after I accept the CLI.
I used the online Cap One CLI request and asked for a 50% increase which was auto denied.
Tried asking for a 20% CLI the next day and was also auto denied.
Both times response was:
"We know this isn't the answer you were hoping for and we want to
help you understand why:
• Your average monthly payment has been too low"
My Trans Union score is 801 and has been slowly sliding over 10 months due to single card utilization which has risen on my Capital One Quicksilver. My Credit Utilization is only 4% for all my accounts but the CL of my only Capital One account a Quicksilver card is low. I waited 10 months before asking for a CLI to be on the safe side.
So I guess I *understand* that slow responsible credit usage isn't the profile Capital One rewards with a Credit Limit Increase or else its just a "bucketed" account that never had any chance to begin with.
Probably need to pay it down after the inquiry drops off and apply for a new card?
Wasting *live* customer service time on the phone isn't going to help with a CLI either if its bucketed.
Living with a credit score barely above Warren Buffets 716 isn't pretty but its probably smart.
I just requested one on Cap 1 Venture. My SL Mid April 2024 was $8k, just got an SP approval to $13k. Had requested $20k, so they met me abotu half way. Will try again in another 6 months.. this is one of my lowest CLs from any major banks so would like to see it push $20k eventually.

I'm taking a trip this week and wanted to use the card for the rewards.
I do have other capital one cards with way higher limits.
Does it hurt anything by requesting CLI with capital one.thanks
After reading through a lot of these forums, I requested a CLI on both of my CapOne cards, my quicksilver went from $400 to $500 which obviously wasnt much, but my Platinum that started out as a secured card and is now unsecured went from $300 to $1300!!! These forums have been so helpful!!!
I'm fine with that not getting a credit increase for 6 months. But if I transfer $2000 from my Savor one card will I lose the 0% interest for 15 months promo.

Nice to know. Thanks.
It works the other way around too
When closing my platinum MC, I tried to move some limit from my platinum to my savor and wasn't able too because I had received a cli in the last six months on both cards
cap1 cited their rule that credit limits can only be adjusted once every six months.
this includes CLIs, CLDs and credit limit reallocations.
