Anybody know the difference between the capital one platinum and platinum preferred? I'm prequalified for platinum preferred but can't even find it on the credit card list on their website to compare it to the platinum. But I'm prequaled for it and then it says you may also like platinum and quicksilver one. So yes they are different cards. Now I'm curious.
If you’re prequalified I’m assuming you’ve either checked their website or had a letter mailed to you. If you checked online you should have the option to compare cards before you apply. I’m interested to know the difference too... although if you had a letter mailed to you, how long ago was this? If it’s old, they may have discontinued that card and rebranded or PCed it the QS. Preferred probably just has better rewards or higher limit ceiling.
Yeah C I'm prequalified on their website. And like I said its not on their regular list of cards to compare it to. Can't find it anywhere but the prequal page so far. So maybe you're right just better benefits but idk. Curious. Maybe its for their "preferred" existing customers? Who have done well with them?
i posted about this the other day also..BF is also prequal for it but i also cant find any info on it... chat will also tell you they cant give you any info until your approved... bf isnt interested in any more cards but i was hoping someone would apply because maybe it has some secret benefit haha!
also the first time i did it , it was 19.99% but wednesday night it was the 22.99%
Right Sasha. I see that it has 0% APR for 9 months. Which is nice. But other than that no additional info anywhere else. Hopefully someone else can chime in and help or I may just have to apply and see what happens lol
Wow. Yes he got a good SL. I wonder if its for people with better credit. Kinda like amex BCE vs BCP or other similar cards where one just has better SL's than the regular version. Hmm ill have to wait and see. Won't be applying for any cards til my reports update in December anyway so ill hold my breath and see
Good theories on this card here in this thread.. perhaps CapOne recommends this card for balance transfers too for those with average to better credit.
The preferred card has a lower interest rate of 22.99 and no interest for the 1st 9 months
The platinum charges interest from the getgo and interest rate is 24.99. I would 100% go with the lower interest rate over all and no interest as I have platinum and its just high interest no annual fee
