CapitalOne CLI approval odds?

Hi guys,

I honestly need some advice. I have a Kohls SL $700 in May 2018, CapitalOne Platnium SL $500 in August 2017 and a CapitalOne QuickSilverOne SL $500 on May 2018. I have received mutiple credit line increases from all my other cards but for some reason they wouldnt even give me one for any of them. I am honeslty thinking of closing them because the age history is fairly new and I never get any credit line increase. Any suggestions?

Below are my additional credit cards:

PEFCU $5000 14 yrs

CreditOne Bank $2000 9 yrs

Walmart $1000 1 yr

CareCredit $9000 3 yrs

City Furniture $7000 1 yr

Target $1100 1 yr

Re: CapitalOne CLI approval odds?

I do not know about the Kohls, but with CapOne lots of times when you apply when your scores are low they put you in a bucket card and just won't increase those. If your scores are a lot better now than when you applied, then you can probably just apply for a new card and get a much better limit. I had one that would not grow at all. I opened a Savor One and they gave me a 10 limit, then I just closed the other one. The ones you list do have a couple of years history on them so as long as they are not costing you anything you may want to just leave those open for the age benefits.

Started Rebuild 4/2018: EX 616| TU 604| EQ 621

Current 5/28/20:

First Goal Score: 750+ Reached 3/2019

Next Goal all over 800

This.

Those low-limit Capital One Cards seem to serve a purpose (build credit history), but they don’t seem to be known to grow. I’d suggest seeing them for what they are - and that isn’t a card(s) that will grow with you. Either keep them around if there is no AF and they serve a purpose, or dump them in search of cards with higher limits (whether that be another card with CapOne or one from a different lender)
