I personally havent seen too many big CLs for Cap1. OP has a QS @ 6,300 CL presently. $2k would be about a 33% increase.

Are we talking $2K spend, $2K credit limits, or $2K credit limit increases?
I don't think everyone is on the same page.
OP didn't say what he was asking for but he said he spent about $2K.
Capital One started my card at only $1K as a Platinum.
I PCd it to QS.
They do like to see spend put on it during three months prior to CLI.
They do only do it once every six months.
My early increases were only $1k IIRC.
Then only $3K at a time, regardless of how much spend I put on it.
After many years, it sits at $22K finally.
Their CLIs are SP but are the biggest PITA.
And then I hear about people getting CLD or account
closure if you don't use the cards regularly.

How much spend have you put on it last 3 months?
to the Spend ? above......it was off of this.^^^^
And I had to ask was 2k a lot of spend in Cap1's eyes.
So yeah, totally confusing and that's my fault.
But if 2k is a lot of spend to cap1 then I need to dial it back but was wondering. Sorry to the world, I seem to confuse everyone.

No worries, @LauraC
Whether $2K is a lot to spend or a big CLI depends on where we are starting from.
Depends on the Utilization Rate or how big an increase in CL that would generate.
But IME, $3K seems to be a standard rate they increase once you get to around $6K.
They gave me $1000 to $1500 until then, so baby steps.
How big is that credit line LauraC ?

$5.5k and I usually run 2k through it a month....so that concerned me a little. I pif 2 to 3 times/month so they can get to know me. But if that's too much for my limit, I'll dial it back.

My last CLI in March 2019 was for 2k.
That's a sweet one, congrats on that! Good luck on growing that card, hopefully in a few days.
