I have to cap1 qs1 accounts. I knew it was over 6 month's since my last increase. Well I hit the luv button, and was approved for a $1000 increase. I was hoping for at least a $1750 increase. Just paid off $1500 between both accounts to zero.
So I as upset an hit the decline offer. Did I just screw my chances for a Increase for the next 6 months. My statement cuts on the 5th so I know my scores might go up? What can I do? I kinda wanted to except the $1000 increase, because I know it would then report on the 5th boost my scores.
Because I plan on doing a small app spree this coming month. HELP...
FICO
EQ:631 might be higher but Myfico hasn't updated it in almost a month

I have read where declining the CLI and then trying a week later with Cap1 they got a much bigger offer. Good Luck!
From my experience the offer will still be there waiting for you, and as somebody else said it may be an even higher amount.
I have one sitting there waiting for me but have not accepted it as I know if I do it will be another 6 months, so i'll keep an eye on it. BTW I actually do not click Decline, I just navigate away from the page
Not sure if that maters or not.
Good luck.
Humm, I don't know. After your app spree your scores might go down....but what I've read there is usually an increase after people on this site decline the
orginal increase offer....good luck..but i take what I can,..my score are 634, 632,655 and I got on an $1000 increase on my annual date w/QS1.
Used the card heavy as well...
It's okay if you decline a CLI offer. Try again in a few weeks and you may receive the CLI amount you wanted this time. By then, your credit scores should reflect the PIF balances. Best of luck!!!
Congrats! and yes you can try again and next time is very likely a higher line increase offer.
let us know what happens
My experience, hit the luv button on mine. Got an initial $400 offer which I declined, 10 days later I tried again and got a $3k offer which I gladly accepted. On my other card, they've been consistently offering $1k which I keep rejecting but my plan is to try again once I've significantly paid down my balance. So OP yes u did the right thing if u weren't satisfied with their offer. Wait a few more weeks and try again.

Yes this was my experience. Offered $400 on a $5k venture one. Waited 8 days and was then offered $3k. Happily accepted!
*this was after 2 statements - card opened 5/19, offered $400 7/20, offered & accepted $3k 7/28
