Curious... it has been 5 months since I opened this card and am eager for a CLI. I did the "request a credit increase" with the 3-5 business days message. Does calling capitol one every result in changing their mind on this? I use the card heavily, paying it off weekly at least. What do you guys think?

The system most probably did at least two HP's so the damage is done. At this point just hope for the best. Calling in right now will not change their minds if they decline you. It is best to just wait for an approval or a denial letter. It can go either way.
Thanks

Yikes, I always thought they were soft pulls from what I read!
@Anonymous Capital One does not do any HPs outside of new apps. @Anonymous as former CO Supervisor 3-5 days means pending but usually means that you will probably be declined. Again its only a SP whenever you ask for a CLI with them.
Capital One only does soft pulls for CLI requests @Anonymous. 3-5 days is probably a decline, try waiting another month or 2.

The first cli is almost a guarantee, further cli's are a mystery. just sit tight and that first one should come automatically.
from what i have read cli's with cap one are sp and apps for new cards are triple hp, all 3 cra's.

Did I read that right? Five MONTHS? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! I've had both of my Quicksilver cards for 10-ish YEARS, and never get CLIs. At least you got the 3-5 day message--mine are always outright denials.
But to answer your question, I think what others have said makes sense. Just sit tight for a little bit, let the account age, and you'll probably get an auto-CLI at some point. After that, or if that doesn't occur, you can try again--but please look around the boards to see how awful Cap1 is about CLIs. It's not just me!
If it's your first CLI on the card that comes at 6 months and is automatic and normally very small, esp since it's probably a bucketed card. Typically Cap 1 will only consider CLI every 6 months.
That's usually a decline but they are always SPs. Like others have said, many of these CapOne cards will automatically give you an increase after 5-6 months. Best of luck to you!

card has to be 6 months old before requesting a CLI with CapOne
