Hey Everyone, my wife requested capone CLI, it's a day early on her 3rd statement cut. ( I only did it a day early, cause it worked fine with me, a day early)
And it was denied...document via website said she had a recent late payment...and I can't find it on any of our accounts. Besides knowing 100% sure that and of our accounts have been late.
Is that just their response, for trying a day early?
thank you.
I dont understand why they are saying that my wife has a recent deliquency, when she doesn't, I pay all the bills, and I'm constantly checking our reports.
They just pre-approved her for 35k car loan.
Could that be their way of saying wait another 3 mos for an increase, she is in credit steps, and both her cards started at 3k limits.

>> they can say Whatever you Want.. (i didn't spend enough/ my payments where to low) That's why they have EO Executive offices & escalations, Also when u request a CLI it will not be held against u, so even though they want you to wait say 3/6 months i've seen people re-request days/weeks later.. at the most 3 months and get CLI if EO dosen't work. going forward.. Use &Pay Use & pay! you'll get those CLI!

> I forgot to Mention for you & your Wife! & Others Reading this Who Want/Need it.. Like i did & i was in shock! > KEEP CHECKING the Pre-Quali: On Capital One.. i'm not Crazy, some people like MYSELF will be Qualified for a new Account! & approved! & denied a credit line Increase on an existing Acct! everyone is diff: & Capital one will not Qualify you if they didn't see something... play a game, u wanted a higher line.. check that site everyday like i did bing bang boom... you'll get it.. if u don't check, u won't know & tell your wife use that card & Make small $35.. $40.. $45 payments ... walk into the bank if u have to/ i do, just a couple times a month do this for 2/3 months then request.. even if u can pay in full don't, carry a small bal.. what worked for u, may not work for her.. but those small payments a month work! in additition to any other payments Happy holidays!
We checked with CAP1, they said no increase would happen until 6 mos, which is credit steps.

I too got my increase after 3 months from the cli button and im still enrolled in credit steps. I also checked wiith cap one and was told i wont get a increase till credit steps kick in which was false as it was with many here including yourself. Something in there system is wrong reporting she had late payment which is blocking her LUV button request

I would call CS and verify their information is accurate.
+1 Exactly this^^^
If you haven't already, give them a call (or chat) and ask when the late payment was. I've had no problems getting CLIs on each of my Capital One cards, even with very little usage, so in my experience it's not like them to just 'make stuff up'
Once you find out what month they are considering 'late' you can research to see if it was actually an oversight, or if there is an error on their part, and move forward from there.
