Care Credit Approval

Hey guys!

I am looking to get a procedure done. I am currenly starting to rebuld my credit. When i turned 18 i got a credit card and never paid it off. With my lack of credit i have a really low credit score. It's currently in collections and i am making monthly payments. My scores are from 565 to 588. All my bills are paid on time now and ive never been late of my car payment. I want to apply credit care. Just wondering if anyone thinks if i would get approved or denied, i dont want another derogatory mark on my score. Thanks!

Re: Care Credit Approval

I know it's not the same, but out of bankruptcy my scores were that low.  I started with a Credit One (not capital one; but it wouldn't hurt to try the pre-qual there.. do not apply if it says "We cannot match you to a card at this time..")  and a BCU secured card.  (credit union in Chicago area.)

I started with that less then 1 year ago 1 month post bk and I am shocked at where I am today with the credit I've been extended.  I've learned to be more responsible with my credit.  You take it for granted until it's time to make a major purchase in your life, like a house, car, etc.

Good luck to you and let us know if you get approved for anything!

Welcome to MYFICO.  To be honest, you are better off waiting a bit as your scores are on the low side.  I know you need a procedure done, try and see if there are alternate payments instead of care credit.

If you can wait a bit then do that until your score improves before applying..

At this point you would be wasting your time applying for Care Credit.

Approval would be possible in the 630-640 TU FICO range... that's what I had when I got mine anyway.  I haven't heard of approval with scores much lower than that, and Care Credit doesn't recon denials.

You need to fix the issues with your credit and apply at lenders like Capital One.

Re: Care Credit Approval

I was approved with Care Credit in September after RECON.  So it is possible.  They gave me $1000.  At the time my TU FICO 04 was 570 and FICO 08 was 584.  I had just started rebuilding and had one card (Jared) since August.

What did they need or want on Recon?
