Care credit approval and cli in just two days after approval, so excited!!

If anyone could give me some feed back about care credit and cli i would really appreciate it. I started rebuilding my credit in July, since then I was approved for cap one secured and fingerhut. I was hesitant about fingerhut but my friend got this card and the cli's are really good so that has definitly helped. But anyway i applied for care credit over the phone last week and was approved for $1,500 for some dental work. They pulled transunion which is a 633. I was honestly shocked to get that but I need about $6,000. So i read a ton on here about people having luck with the robolady 24-48 hours after approval with a cli so I just went for it. Asked her for 5,000 and she came back with 7,000!!! My only issue is i will need 6,000 of that which will bring my usage to about 80% which is awful. Has anyone had luck with a 3rd cli? I know my score will go up to a 661 once i activate my card. (Used my cap one simulator).

Unfortunately the credit simulators are not accurate. I doubt you could get a 3rd CLI in a short time frame right after opening the account. I'd say just get the procedure and in a couple months ask for a CLI again to try and help the utilization.

Sorry, 2nd cli is what I meant to say but I think I will hold off like you said, i dont want another HP. Thanks for the advice. I have gained so much from these forums, couldnt of done it without everybody's advice on here.

CLI with Care Credit is usually a sp not a hp. 99% of the time I'd say it's sp. Haven't read about a hp cli with synchrony bank in awhile.

It’s would be a soft pull. They do offer 0% interest promo on all purchases. Maybe you can wait a month or two and retry but my last cli with care credit I’ve gotten 3 increases in one day. However I’ve also had my acct for a 4-5 years

Thank you for your response. I have an appoint. With my dentist this week and while speaking with the receptionist she stated she didn't want me to get in "too deep" with Care Credit. Do you by chance know what your monthly payment was with them. I planned on paying this off next January with my taxes but I'm nervous my payments could be really high since I will be needing $6,000. I know I could afford about $150 a month.

My payments ranged $120. Care credit is not bad as long as you pay off the balance before the 1 year promo ends.

Another option : Instead of paying in full and maxing put your limit why don’t you ask your dentist to set you up on a monthly payment plan and have it auto billed to your care credit acct?

I my limit was 3k and now I’m sitting at 8500. I’m going to make a few more payments and request another cli 😂 for one last time
