Hey All,
I wanted to get your thoughts on applying for Venture, considering everyone is getting amazing approvals and all.
I only have a one year credit history, and feel very lucky to have opened up CSP $5K, Amex EDP $4K, and Amex Platinum in the last week alone!!!
I got denied for Arrival Plus and Citi Prestige because of my short credit history.
I currently also have $1.5K Wells Fargo, $2K Amazon, $1K Walmart, and $500 Capital one QS One
Current Scores: 688 EQ, 709 TU, 705 EX --> but this doesn't include those three new accounts that I opened up.
I'm completely new to this FICO/credit game so what will opening up those three accounts do to my FICO score? Should I wait to apply for Venture or just go now?
THANKS AGAIN! Very grateful for this forum.
Have you tried Capital One to see if you are pre-qualified. You might have a offer for the Venture card. I tried it yesterday and for the first time received offers for the Venture, Venture One and QS Visa Signature. Took the Venture One because I don't spend enough yearly to make it worth taking the Venture with annual fee. Only approved for $5000 though at 15.9%.
not pre-qualified for Venture, only for QS One, which i already have with a crappy limit
my friend all my cards you see in my signature except the first were opened in 2014 months apart.. and venture well yesterday.. . so yeah you can get approved with a lot of new accounts!

I was not pre-qualified for any of the CAP 1 cards but got approved. Methinks you have chance?
You definitely have a chance with those scores, but I will say that the Capital One prequals have been very solid lately and those who haven't had them have had mixed success. Good luck!!

I already have 2 CapOne cards and have been told by multiple reps that you aren't allowed 3... I ran the pre-qual and it said no offers. No desire to apply with the triple pull but wanted to check anyway.

The reps are wrong. I have two Cap One cards, and the pre qual page comes up with three offers - even when I'm logged in to my account. There are also plenty of forum members who have more than two.

If those CAP 1 reps. can tell day from night, then we will be in business. Don't take their word for it. Before I hopped on the Venture craze, I had an old Venture and was told I wouldn't qualify for the same card. I app. any way and now approved. I also got a confirmation email to spend 3,000 in the 1st 3 months for my $400. Not bad getting it twice.
