Chances at Amex BCE or BCEP?

Never applied for an Amex before and see if anybody can comment on my chances of approval for a Blue Cash Everyday Card from Amex.

Experian Fico score - 754

Revolving Credit Limit 12,700

Card Utilization -  30%

Avergae account age 15.1 years

No Baddies

Currently 3 inquires. From 2 years ago. 2 for the same time period when I got my car. And another shortly a few months after. So technically 2 inquires.

The only credit card I have is my Wells Fargo Rewards card. Not great. and a Jewerly Card from Synchrony Bank. Almost paid off. 

1 Auto loan through Chase. 17K Balance. Paid on time for the last 2 years.

Looking for the BCE for better cash back rewards.

Should I give it a shot?

Yes. I think you should go for it.

Check the prequal to see if you have any offers

Also, do you need the Amex bce or bcp? Is your primary expense grocery and gas? Are you in a place where Amex is widely accepted? If not, there are plenty of other cards to choose from for rewards, if that's your purpose.

I was reading some reviews about the BCE card and it seemed like a great option. I will do a mix of purchases. Gas and Groceries. But probably mostly for groceries. Im in SoCal area and AMEX is accepted widely. 

Is the prequal on the amex site? How do I access it? I would just give them basic info?

Yes, just go to americanexpress.com and you can search for your pre-qualified offers.  They are 90% solid.

Based on the information you provided, I'm 99% sure you'd get approved for the BCE or BCP so if either card suits you I'd say apply.  You'd probably get a nice starting SL too, I'd guess around $10k based on the info you provided.

If you don't get a pre qual, don't worry about it. Many, many people, (me included), have never gotten an Amex pre qual but have been approved for cards.
