I have a one-year credit history (because of age). I currently have owned a Citi Secured Mastercard with a $2,000 limit for around a year, recommended by a Citibank agent as the first credit card. I have paid in full for all statements up to date, with monthly credit utilization up to 25%. I am wondering when this card "graduates", what are the chances to get a Citi Prestige card, considering it is one of their most premium cards? I currently have Citigold accounts with them and I fly pretty often, so I find this card to be a really good deal.
Some basic info: My credit score is around 730. My income during summer is around $7k per month. Total assets including investments are around $60k (only $10k at Citi though).
Thank you in advance for any feedback provided!

Are you looking to product change your current card once it graduates, or app for the Prestige separately? Product changes are possible with Citi between certain products. If you want to app for the card separately, try using Citi's pre-qualification page and see what they say.

I would prefer to directly change it to Prestige, not sure if that's possible though. Would applying separately be harder to be approved than converting the card type? Thanks.
The simplest way to find out is to call the number on the back of your card and ask. I've heard stories of the CSRs not knowing how to do a product change, so if they say no the first time, try calling back and getting another CSR. Considering both cards are Citi in house products, I believe it should be fine, once it graduates.
Thanks for the info! I will update the result here after I contact them when it's closer toward graduation.
