Which would be the VentureOne....so $200 worth of travel plus purchases....probably manageable. And I could wait more than 6 months to combine, if I didn't use them?
and this can all be done online?....I'm a stay at home mom whose husband is deployed, so making phone calls is usually a trigger for the kids to start screaming....
Yes as in combine the cards and limits across them into one. After six months roll the VentureOne into the Quicksilver. Or better yet go back and get the regular Venture. WIth a 5k QS approval you're probably get 10 or 15k Venture. Always better to have more credit line than you ever think you'll need than to not have it when you need it. Go for the Venture not the VentureOne as the second card. They waive the $59 fee for the first year and you'll combine it before the AF comes up again. It's going to give you a much higher limit than the VentureOne will.
You convinced me, but I went with the VentureOne, partly because I don't think I'll be able to achieve the sign up bonus on the Venture (usually spend less than $1000/month on things that I can put on a credit card) so it's not as appealing.
$10K limit 21.9% APR, which should be plenty adequate for my immediate and future needs.
Thanks!
Congrats on your Venture One. You did very well today!

Thanks for your help! I was so nervous.
@Anonymous wrote:Hi. Since you are pre-qualified for both cards I would app for the Quicksilver first, then immediately app for the VentureOne. If app's are done close together (I'm thinking best case scenario immediately or a few hours apart) you should only receive one hp for each credit reporting agency. What was the APR quoted in your pre-approvals?
Sounds great, could you imagine getting 6 Hp's. that would sting. LOL
Congrats!
