Chase 5/24 Question on new apps for existing cardholders

I am holding out until January '24 to app for a Chase card when I will be down to 3/24 on new accounts.

Does chase still use the 5/24 policy for its existing cardholders?

also keep an eye out in your account in 'just for you' section for starred pre-approvals
