I app'd in-branch today for Chase FU. Had a prequal with $300 bonus for $500 spend. Banker told me 7-10 days. I called the automated line just now (~4 hours later) and was told 30 days. How are my chances?
I wasn't expecting an instant response by any means as I have one measly card now.
Thanks!

7-10 days is a definite denial
30 days means an approval! Good luck!

I beg to differ. The seven to ten business days sometimes ends up in an approval so I wouldn't say "Definate".
OP, if that your current score in your siggy, then you stand a high chance of getting approved. Update the thread with results once you hear back.

Yup the TU is current as of 1/19 and utilization on Disco has only gone down since (2% => 1%). I got my Ex this morning and Chase pulled it... FICO 8 of 742. (Which is especially a relief seeing as it's my first score since Ex got fixed per http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/General-Credit-Topics/Experian-sees-double/m-p/4857308; last month this time was 719.) Still 30 day message but I don't expect any updates until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.
And don't worry I'll update my thread I always love reading everybody else's stories on here and it kills me when OP doesn't post the ending haha

But in all seriousness how'd u get that promo? I want to app for it but I've only seen a $150 for $500 spend and that's too low to add another TL for me.
I wish I knew I'm sure a lot of people would like to know! Here's my activity with Chase:
...and that's it. I have used the checking account plenty though with direct deposit, although I've only used the debit card a few times ever.
Even the banker (who did seem to know his stuff on credit cards; he even knew what I meant when I mentioned the 5/24 rule) was surprised that little ol' me got it. He said he rarely sees it and it's mostly given to people who have a lot more deposits than I do...
Has anybody else under 21 had Chase verify paystubs, etc.? I didn't lie or anything so I'm ok with that but just wondering if I should call the verification line this week or just ride it out.
Heck, my direct deposits go there they should just look at that lol
