Congrats again on your approval, @ElvisCaprice.
11/24 ?!?!

So you're saying they "might" still bypass 5/24 for the Amazon card? Lol
Ha, sure does @BrutalBodyShots was saying in another thread he knew of someone approved on a Chase Prime Visa @ 30/24 new accounts. Incredible. The churners like this one for $250 no spend, no 5/24. Is a nice tack on to the end of a spree. I don't know if it's better than a CCR @5.25%, will find out, seems folks are getting more than 5% with this Prime Visa Card on add on offers.
They've had a lot of Prime deals lately with 7-10% back on certain items. I think we can all agree this card is a no brainer for anyone that shops on Amazon. Congrats on the new card and $250 gift card!
I ordered a new tv Friday. Posted to my account yesterday and I was surprised to see my cash back was 10% not the five I was expecting.
Congrats!! Just in time for the holidays ![]()
I've noticed the 7% back offer if one chooses no-rush shipping is consistent now for nearly every Amazon purchase these days. It seems like it's becoming a standard thing.
I assume that's more related to the Christmas shopping, and rewarding those that will give the warehouse and delivery folks a break.
Edit - just got this in an email:
|
NFCU Flagship (Daily 2% + Travel) | USAA Rewards (AoOA = 26y)
Aven Rewards (Groceries) | Chase Prime (Amazon) | Citi Custom Cash (Dining) | Elan MCP (Utilities)
EQ(F8) 784 | EX(F8) 801 | TU(F8) 800 | EQ(F9) 823 | EQ(BC8) 815
On the Radar: Langley | Kroger | AmEx | Discover
The plot thickens.
I should add, that there was a double HP on my app for this CC. Somehow I missed it. Both Transunion and Experian. See in another approval thread that another party had the same double HP for this CC. Is this now a standard of Chase on CC applications?

If you don't need it right now... you can choose delayed shipping and get a base 8% cb before any special offers.

RE: The Chase Bank double hard pull @ElvisCaprice.
It's been documented for a long time that Chase sometimes will do the double hard pull. It seems to depend upon profile. From your signature, I notice that Amazon is your only Chase card now so you probably didn't have one at the time of application. Did you have Chase cards before and close them?
I've had at least one open Chase card continuously since 2000. On all six Chase cards I've added since 2018, they've only done a single pull for me on EX.
Here is the info from @credit_is_crack's long-running thread:
General Credit Topics forum >> Which Report Will They Pull, Part 2 (07-29-2021)
Chase Bank: Some users have reported that double-pulls are consistent, but some have also reported only single-pulls for all new account. CLI's are single pulls. Expect a double pull, EQ & EX seem to be the preferred combo based on approval threads, but if you get prequalified via Credit Journey, TU seems to be the primary CRA pulled and it gets paired with EQ or EX. TU seems to be the least preferred CRA for Chase when Credit Journey is not involved.

I was thinking the same, since I didn't have a Chase Card (been many years since I had one, closed), they double pulled me. Thanks for the response @Aim_High

After hearing that Amazon Prime Visa often bypasses Chase's 5/24 rule, I signed on to my Amazon account to see I am preapproved for the card. I'm at 7/24 but thought I'd take a chance since the website claimed I was preapproved, and to my surprise I was instantly approved. The new card with the $22K SL is already displayed on my Chase dashboard and available to spend on my Amazon account. The $250 gift card also instantly posted on my Amazon account. Although the hard inquiry appeared immediately on Experian and TransUnion, the immediate impact was just one point on each. Am I correct to think that the slight drop in average age of accounts will be countered by the drop in utilization once the $22K is added in next month?
