I have no idea why other than the free 30-70$ depending on offer they give you for first use?  I honestly don't know, people said it was the easiest Chase product to get approved for, I can tell you for a fact it isn't by any means.  I went all the way up to the EO office pleading for a 500 line to get in with Chase, no go... One month later approved for Freedom 4k SL (deffinetly not a 500 pity CL).  So one can only guess.  Will apply for CSP after I get my AMEX 3x61 as I will of been with chase for 3 month+ then and hoping for a 8-10k limit based on Freedom approval and income and util.

Re: Chase Amazon Recon - Strategy?

You might just be a case of verification though.  I would call the Recon/Analyst # posted as sticky on top of this thread and see what the issue is if denial or verification.  If verification, will only take about 3-5 mins to complete the whole call.. You have a strong profile I would be suprised if you were denied especially with a CSP that long.

Re: Chase Amazon Recon - Strategy?

Gotcha, makes sense and jives with my recent move from Tx to VA.  I got an offer from Visa Black Card in the mail, no PSL and no Annual fee for card holder.  I applied and two days later someone called me from Barclays to confirm new address and current info.  That was just a week ago, so makes sense Chase would do the same.

Re: Chase Amazon Recon - Strategy?

Think it might be to early and I should wait a day or so?  I found the back number, but thinking I might sounds overly eager.  I do a lot of shopping on Amazon, although I am not sure what the benchmarks are.  In looking at my spending over the last 3 years, I do about $4-$6K annually, and about 95% is on my debit card from Citi, but if I can get points, I am game for that!

Re: Chase Amazon Recon - Strategy?

I would call ASAP like right now....  It is either a denial or most likely just a Fraud/auth issue as stated and they will transfer to a different dept and answer a few questions and then transfer you back to UW/Analyst for limit.  I am really guessing that is what it is.. Give them a call.  They enjoy talking to people some timesSmiley Happy.. That way you don't have to think about it either!

Re: Chase Amazon Recon - Strategy?

Call this # and you will connect write to a Underwritter and ask what the status of your amazon Visa card is and if you can answer any questions that is holding up the application..

Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons)

It is either a verification or a denial as stated...  If a denial then you try to recon and ask if they would reconsider, but your profile looks pretty dang strong..
