Thinking what to do, Amazon's store card line is through Synchrony Bank. of which I have two lines, 1) GE Nautulis, $4500 and clear and 2) Ashley Furniture (opened in Oct 2014 for $3K and I owe $1300 right now, promo deal, no interest if paid off in 12months and got a $500 discount). I was looking for points more than anything else....thus...I prob should go "garden" for a year....
That makes no sense to be honest ... Two seperate lenders... One is Chase the Visa and one is Backed by GE/Sync bank (Being the store card)... You must of applied for both. I bet you will see a HP on your credit report from Sync Bank if you check. Anyways, more credit i guess
Hmmmm...no hits to my CR, I usually get them over night, checked Equifax this morning and nada. I checked the other sites, like creditkarma, which I have set up and nada as well. Since I already have SYNCB, wondering they would just do a SP?
It would 98% chance be a TU pull... Anyways, more power to you.. But weird they would of opened the Amazon store account without your permission as this would impact your AAoA... So I just don't see that happening unless you gave them permission.. They don't have if you don't get the Visa you get the store card insttead as they are two seperate lenders and require seperate pulls along with this isn't how it is written when you apply for credit w/regards to the visa if you don't qualify it will try to give you the store card..weird.

Walmart is known to do this, I SURE hope Amazon doesn't start.
+1. I just don't see how they can as stated TWO seperate lenders... Last I read if you don't qualify for the VISA they don't automatically submit an APP for the store card.. That would be a double pull at least if not a triple depending on Chase! I really doubt they change it, but haven't read up lately on there site if they did?

I can't believe Chase is refusing because of the inquiries based on some approvals here. Give it a few days and give it 1 more try. How about your history with the CSP. Are they taking that into consideration? Give it 1 more shot a few days and also tell them why you have the inquiries.
I always thought Chase placed more emphasis on what your internal score is with them rather than just FICOs and what's specifically on your CR. Amex sure does IMO.

UPDATE: I tested the whole process with my parents Amazon account, they are visiting and they are retired and I manage their finances, and know that they have no done anything credit wise in years. So I went ahead and got some items that they needed and checked out.....Chase Visa came up and I applied, denied, same response I got the first time, "needs to be reviewed."
Anyway, cancelled the order and started again, check out and this time it was for the Amazon Store Card, not Amazon Visa, so I applied and they were approved.
So, I am thinking I am just not recalling, but prob did go back and saw it was busy multi-tasking and applied for it.
In addition, I just checked my Equifax that I have an account with, and there is now a HP from "Synchrony Bank/Amazon". Earlier this morning there was not, but now, several hours later there is.
Ok, makes more sense
