Hey y’all!
I was just wondering, do y’all think that the Chase Amazon CC will have lower credit underwriting standards for this year’s Amazon Prime Day?
I applied twice and got denied twice. Now that my inquiries are getting older and my aaoa is getting better, I was hoping to FINALLY get approved for my first Chase Card.
I personally don’t think they will lower their standards, but I’m honestly not sure.
Thanks in advance!
I don't think chase will care about prime day![]()
Looking at your data points, Chase probably wants to wait until you're a little more established. I'd try again in about 6 months. Have you tried Synch Amazon store card instead?
Agree with the consensus. UW doesn't care about Amazon's Sales.. lol
I have the Amazon Prime card from Synch, mentioned by FinStar and it's a great card, if you shop on Amazon a lot.
I get 5% CB or financing with deferred interest for large purchases and I can choose which I prefer.
The limit grows quickly- I haven't a complaint about that card..
Good Luck.

OP has Amazon Prime store card, according to his info. That is Synch, isn’t it?
Amazon Prime Store 1800
Correct, Amazon store is by SYNCB. I overlooked from the OP's signature while on mobile.
Thank you all for your responses!
Wishful thinking that Chase would want to capitalize on Prime Day.
Thanks for the datapoints. And yes, I do have an Amazon Store Card by Synchrony, but would love to get into Chase (no thanks to that pesky 5/24).
I just applied and was denied. I have no idea which bureau they pulled. My FICO 8 from TU is 780 according to the Discover app. My EQ is 748-ish according to Credit Karma (not accurate I know). EX should be lower than those because I still have 2 small medical collections that I am still wrestling with them to get removed.
What might have spooked them is that 3 of my 5 credit cards are new accounts within the past few months. Also I'm self-employed and have a modest income. I shouldn't have a ton of inquiries on my reports since my other 2 credit cards are about 2 years old now.
I really wanted the $70 off the $69.99 Fire 8 plus a case that I am buying. Oh well. Such is life.

I would call in to chase's recon number; I got denied for it, called in, talked about prime day and how I wasn't going to use the card for anythiing crazy other than buying something off amazon once a month or so and maybe some day to day expenses. Just be honest and go for it because they've already given you the inq.
