Chase: App for a CLI or CSP?

I currently have Ritz, Marriott, IHG, and Freedom cards with Chase. I don’t really use Marriott much, but I have a $25k limit on it so I’ve keept it (plus the one night free annually makes it worth the AF for me personally). I would like to get a $50k CL on one card, ideally Ritz, but am not sure if I’m better off apping for a CLI and taking the HP or if I should app for a CSP before vs. after closing the Marriott card.

I haven’t asked for a CLI from Chase in about 2 years and my score has increased from ~700 to ~760 so I assume I’d get a good CL, but not sure if a CLI is easier. Thoughts?

My Top 3: Amex Delta Platinum ($30k) | Amex PRG | Citi Prestige ($30k) |

Starting scores 600-640 (2013), current 765-775 (2019); It is possible!

How can you be so sure that an issuer will approve you for a $50K starting limit?  You'd be better off taking out a loan for the tuition expense.

BTW, the mods will probably consolidate the three threads you started asking the same question into one.

I am asking different, more specific questions. I didn’t say I was sure an issuer would approve me for that, I said I would LIKE to get a $50k CL and am asking for guidance on the best way to do that. I have one thread asking about Chase specifically, which is this one, one asking about Amex, and one asking how to improve my credit score and consolidate cards, so I don’t deem those to be the same question 3x. I have the money for the tuition covered, but have the option of paying with a credit card and being reimbursed, which gives me an opportunity to earn points with no additional fee so I may as well take advantage of it.

If you have any specific feedback about my original question regarding a strategy for Chase it’d be appreciated.
