Chase App

Hello,

I've a credit karma scores of 753 and 755 with 4 credit cards open in past 24 months,

Amex Blue Cash has a balance of 1700 / 4800 (does this matter)?

Citi bank 3300

Discover 5500 (oldest card since July 2016)

Quicksilver 1000

What are my chances of approval?

I did apply for this card about a year ago and ended up getting declined, just want to know if my chances have increased.

Re: Chase App

Generally you seem in a good spot for the basic chase cards but no one can be certain about those things. Which card do you want?

I am sure you will be approved for great SL on freedom.

Ps I like freedom more than Amazon

Re: Chase App

You'd definitely have a shot at the Freedom.
If you shop a lot on Amazon and/or have Prime, then go for the Amazon Prime card.

Keep in mind though, that the Amazon Prime card is strictly Visa Signature, so it is held to higher standards as you generally have to be approved for $5,000 to get a Visa Signature card. I was initially denied for that card (second card I ever got), but a quick call to recon got it overturned with a $500 SL. It's definitely attainable, but your safest route would be to go for the Freedom.

That $1,700 balance shouldn't affect your application too much, given that it accounts for only 11.6% of your total SL, but I'd recommend reducing it to under 10% or eliminating it altogether if possible. Not really that important.

Re: Chase App

You are 4/24 now. If you get Amazon, you will be 5/24. Not eligible for Freedom or any other prime5/24 Chase card, until you are under 5/24, or you get a GreenCK offer.

If you get the Freedom now, you will still be 5/24. But since Amazon isn't held to 5/24 standard, you can get it when you choose, and still have the Freedom.
