I was approved early last month for the Freedom card and submitted an application on Saturday for the Marriott. Got an email saying that they would let me know in 30 days about my application. When I call the application status line it gives me the following message after entering my SSN:
"To repeat this information, press 7"
"To end this call, press 9"
"To speak to a CSR, press 0"
Should I wait a few more days since it was a weekend app, or contact a CSR? Thanks in advance!
Doesn't sound like a denial.. It has done this for me on both my Freedom and CSP for whatever reason.. Could be approved or verification.. You can wait it out for the letter or possible card to show up or obviously call the anlyast # in the sticky to find out.. Your call.. Don't really understand the blank message. 7-10 days is usually bad, two weeks is usualy good, blank I have always scratched my head, but isn't really bad from what I have read and experienced.
If you do decide to call.. Call the following # and ask status if you so choose.

Most likely an approval. When I apped for the CSP at the beginning of the month the status line started out with the 7-10 message, then updated to the 2-week message then once I was approved it updated to the sme blank message that you are describing. I think its broken LOL
Called verification/fraud department and was told that a letter was sent out because my EQ was on ice, which is true. Will follow up once I get the letter. Guess they wanted to double pull me

Can unfreeze EQ and call and have them pull it if you want.. Chase really loves EQ at leaest for me and a few others I know... See another pull from a different CB already? Most likely it was just a EQ pull they were trying to get.
Just applied tonight and got the same message, along with the same recording when I call the automated number. Planning on calling them Monday, hopefully.
