Brief history...... I once obtained a Chase Auto Loan a long time ago and paid it off. Then, financial troubles and IIB all my Chase cards. This week, DW and I went car shopping and we were shocked when I was approved for a Chase Auto Loan even with my history with Chase products! It wasn't the lowest APR so we went with another loan.
Anyways, would this mean I might have a chance with their CCs if I applied or should I not put much stock into this? I thought I would have been instantly rejected by Chase!
Bit suprising that if you burned them in a bk that they would approve you for anything but a car is a secured loan so there is a huge difference between that and a cc. For CCs I hate to be negative but Chase has a very long memory so unless your BK was 10+ years ago (even then they would remember), I'd say your chances of being approved for a Chase cc is very little.

I think Irish is right on this. My first thought also was that one was different from the other. I'd think their CC side would be more strict on it. I've seen where they seem to remember pretty well on the CC end of it.
