Are there any varieties of Chase cards that are considered easier approvals than others?
I applied and was denied for CSP first week in December. I'm researching for my next move and it seems Freedom is a better fit but, want to be sure beforehand.
Freedom and Slate probably the easiest imo .. Then CSP and the co-branded cards? I dunno to be honest.. Just my guess.. People say Amazon Visa, but hogwash on that.
to my knowlege all chase cards are similar underwritting(except for the Signature cards which require 5k or larger CL). The only thing is pretty much all of their cards minus Freedom Slate and Amazon require a 5k limit so yes those usually are harder to require because chase needs to be confortable with lending you that much credit. otherwise the minimum is 500.

Umm I can point you to someone on this forum that has a 400 freedom CL.. Don't want to embarass them though when their other CL's are 10kish
.. Sure he/she will post here soon enough.. Started with 200cl, the 400 is after a CLI ![]()

Sorry didnt know that Was possible the Reps have told me the Min is 500. My guess is there was a change in the policy or possibly the outcome of AA or something else? But if thats the case then fair enough I am wrong.

Would it be possible to acquire a Marriot or Ritz card without having a lower end Chase cc first?

I've seen several people here who have never had Chase cards before who were able to get the Ritz really easily. In fact, my very first Chase card was a $5k limit Southwest card and that was a month after I got denied the Amazon Chase Visa.

Yes if you have good scores and a decent income and some credit history
