Chase CL Consolidation Strategy

I'm not planning on closing any of my Chase cards, but since I'm not really using Ritz and AARP as much (I still put charges on them to keep them active though and will continue to do so anyway), I'm thinking about moving $4k over from the Ritz and $1k from AARP over to the CSP so I can have a $10k limit CSP there.

I already recently moved $1000 from Amazon over to the Freedom without a hitch and will move the rest of that card over later this month and close it entirely. The last thing I want to do is make Chase think I'm trying to churn.

I'm also planning on doing some CL consolidation with my Amex cards come June and close out Delta Skymiles.

Does this sound like a decent strategy? Any other suggestions for going about this?

Try to do it all in one shot. The less AR's the better. Smiley Happy

And honestly they care more about UR card churning. As long as you're keeping your UR cards open you should be fine for now.

I'm gonna ask right now to see if it's okay and to see if I can get Amazon knocked out too. Gonna cross my fingers I can make it out of this unscathed.

And congrats on your Chase Ink card. I just saw your signature there.

I'm not sure but I already have as much credit as I need from Chase and more so I'm not that interested in getting CLIs from them when essentailly moving the CLs around is about as good as that for me. Freedom tends to get auto CLIs after a few statements though. It all depends.

Re: Chase CL Consolidation Strategy

Yea I just wonder. I moved 1k from Freedom when I got the CSP to make it an even 10k

I'd just close out amazon, cite how the card doesn't make sense for you right now.

And thanks. I'm in the process of getting it both expedited and seeing about getting the 60K UR offer.

I might do that but I'm not too far away from having a month of inactivity on Amazon anyway.

Call JPM line. They will see you through it. Smiley Happy

When I closed the SW, the person from Lending I spoke too was able to 0 out the SW and close it with last activity being 2 weeks prior to. I just made damn sure I paid the card to 0 beforehand.

I didn't think of that. Thanks!

There's a lot that line can do that the other numbers don't really do as much.

Haven't heard back from SM but I hope I'm not much harm by calling them too about Amazon.
