Has anyone had a Chase CLD and requested a reinstatement and been denied a reinstatement and then requested a CLI AND been approved for a CLI? Just curious if there's a work around here. A chase new account is out of the question considering the 5/24 rule. Please stick to the question asked if you would like to comment. Thank you.
@12njoy: Not sure about your first question b/c I haven't experienced that situation, but there are still some Chase cards that aren't 5/24 as of yet. I know IHG to be at least one of them.

I don't have experience with what you are asking but it seems like both requests would go under the scrutiny of their lending team. Honestly, it might be just luck of the draw depending on who reviews the accounts and your overall profile. Has much changed since the original AA?

Yes I've reduced my debt, but in the review for a reinstatement they sited too much available credit and that I'm still obtaining new credit.
Sounds like I should just leave it alone

Their lending dept is rough to deal with. I've had zero luck with them. As long as everything happens automatically I'm good with Chase though
I would be annoyed with it if I was in your situation but sometimes you just have to let it chill for a while and get back to it in like 6 months. If too much available credit is really the issue they have with your profile that will be difficult to overcome. Gardening also sucks really bad soooooo......... LOL
