Back in August, my Sapphire Preferred card was eligible for a CLI via the Chase app. I submitted the request, and got a 7-10 day message. For the first time, Chase denied my CLI for these exact two reasons:
Total credit limit with Chase across all 3 cards is around $95000. FICO scores are all 780+. Income is ~$220k.
Today, the app is showing that same card is eligible for a CLI. Do you guys think it'd be worth submitting another request? The only thing that's changed between August and now is my year-end bonus and 5% overall raise.
Chase generally responds more favorably to people who make good use of their cards. The good news is it won't cost you anything to ask for a CLI. You could also contact them to ask for reconsideration if declined again.

Good points. In the past, I would immediately pay off large transactions before my statement closed to avoid high utilization/spooking Chase. Guess it's hurting me more than helping in this situation.

Right it's a SP to put in the request.
What kind spending on your Sapphire since the denial? (ps, Paying off balances before the due date wont lessen your chances of a CLI...)
Do you really need it you are approaching their typical threshold of credit to income which is normally around 50ish percent of your income. Doesn't hurt to try as a SP but if you want another card in the future with them might just want to keep that 5-15k or whatever open for a future card and bonus.
