Chase CLI(s)_7-10 Day Message ( Update : Declined)

My cards haven't been eligible for an increase since I increased them both about a year ago. The cli request button has always been there but I never get to the screen to choose a card. Always says not eligible. I have called in a few requests but always been denied for new accounts/new credit seeking. Today, I checked and it took me to the screen.

I chose the CFU first since I put tonof spend on it last 12 months. After entering my income($217K) and rent, I got the dreaded 7-10 message. Btw, TU frozen at the time. I then tried to see if the CSR was eligible after the CFU request and it was as well. In the end, it also got the 7-10 message. If they're sp'ng TU for these cli(s), I may have a chance. I'm finally at 0/6 for inquiries there and 1/6 for new accts(am at 8/24 however sooo). TU Fico8 750. Have 2 non-Chase cards with a balance around 12K+ total. And uti at 6%. If in the other hand, they'll use EX data for this, then I know it's a denial. EX Fico8 740 but I'm 4/6 and lol/24 on inquiries(12/23 scorable still). I'm guessing they must be using TU data bc EX has had been littered with inquiries for a while.

Wanted to share the above dp(s) more than anything. I'm good if it's a denial.

Update: Got declined on both cards. For CFU, it mentioned recent requests of credit/ review of credit and for CSR, it mentioned number of recently opened accounts. They referenced EX rather TU for the sp data.

if what they're using is frozen, you'll need to unfreeze (it will still be a SP)

it's not like amex/discover/cap1 which will just use your account review pulls and you can have your credit frozen when doing CLI requests with them

I unfroze TU afterwards assuming that it may get manually reviewed with TU unfrozen. May call in to see if it was the TU freeze that generated the pending msgs.

That is unfortunate. You will get there eventually. Perhaps to take away some of the sting, your boa cards. Generally a sp cli every 91 days, I know I have done it. Perhaps if it's been that amount of time since you last cli with them, hit them up and shoot for the moon.

Thanks. I was just happy to get past that first screen for once in 12 months 😅

Thanks for the advice on BoA. I'm using 0% BT with my BankAmericard but hope to have it paid down more or less by July. The 0% lasts until next July but I want to pay off this balance pretty soon. Was thinking to make a cli request right after paying down to about the last 10/15%.

Re: Chase CLI(s)_7-10 Day Message

There ya go. I just recently did a balance transfer with boa for the "0". I wanted to show them some love. The account turns 8 months old tomorrow and I've already gotten 2 sp cli's for 20k additional credit.

Maybe a couple months ago, limit was 34k. I did a balance transfer of just over 5k. Utilization was at 15% on their card. I wanted to demonstrate bigger payments to them. I paid it down to 11% in about 45 days. My 91 days was up, asked for cli, approved for additional 10k. Phenomenal bank from my perspective with the way they have treated me. Navy is awesome, but boa can rival the best of them. Hopefully that can help you with an idea of where you may stand.

Thanks. I'll just keep plugging away and hopefully once I get under 5/24 this summer, I may try again 😀
