Hello Forum, I had a question about having a chase credit card.
I have a charged off debt from Chase 8 years ago, my credit score right now is 765 and i have a great credit history, but I got denied due to "delinquency or other derogatory relationship with the bank". I called them and of course its that pesky charge off 8 years ago. luckily they were closed and i did not get to talk to them. I heard if i talk to them they will revive by debt and make it crazy for me. i know sol makes it that they cant and its a zombie charge off, but how do i take this off from the internal side of chase.
thank you forum and have a wonderful night!
Gardner, the EO can circomvent the blacklist denial, but it wont go away.
I has a WAMU card that was charged off while chase was assuming their debt around 2005 or so.. Chase thinks that I screwed them. It took 2 years for me to convince them to give me any credit. Now I have 4 cards with them, but its always a backdoor recon.
o man, that long to reconcile something you did not do.
that kind of sucks, should I call them to tell them to reconsider or will that open up my debt again from WAMU 8 years ago?
thanks for the response, people like you helped me get my score back up from the forum long time ago. I just never signed up till today. What a great site with great people!

You have to resolve it with them if you want credit with them.

+1 This. If it is out of SOL, they cannot sue you. They cannot make it re-appear on your credit reports if the DoFD is past 7 years and 180 days.
But they can refuse you credit for the rest of your life. There is no SOL on a blacklist. If you really want a card from them, you will have to plead your case to an U/W or pay it back.

my denials said previous negative relationship with chase... even though EO said it had no impact in decision... had to recon twice, but did get it approved.
