Does Chase do automatic denials or is it always the 7-10 day message for further review?
Yes they do auto denials as well as the 7-10 day message which btw doesn't necessarily mean a denial.
good luck op! and good strategy waiting it out! call the status line and see if you got the 2 week or 30 day message. usually 7 to 10 days is a denial. 1-800-432-3117.

I will wait it out and hope for approval. I have never done well with recon calls...To me it's like being 15 and talking to my Dad!!!
Very funny!!
7-10 day message is what I got and I was approved. Called same day and all I had to do was answer some verification questions.

It's different when it's for verification. If they don't hear from you in that time frame and you can't be verified then they'll deny you. Ordinarily, the 7-10 is a denial...excluding the pending verification.

Chase has changed the way they verify. They are now calling customers and verifying instead of customers calling in.
