Chase Credit Line Increase PENDING?

My rep told me that my credit line increase request is pending. I should receive a letter after someone reviews it. Is this typically a denial?

Could go either. Call lending. I did what I just suggested you to do.

I called and asked for a CLI, the rep said I would be notified by mail within 10 days. I asked to put me through to lending and after 20 minutes I was approved from 4k to 6K.

As stated above, call the lending department. They will be able to help you. I was able to get my limit increased from $1,500, which it was at for about 5 years to $6k.

Could go either way at that point. If I was in your shoes and had a HP I would just apply for another chase card and move the limit. I get not everyone wants the new account ding though. Best of luck.

It is not a denial and can go either way.  If you are close to a Chase branch, I suggest you go in and have a banker call on your behalf.

I am expecting a denial because of all the new accounts within 2 yrs. 1 new one in the last 6 months. Totally forgot the 5/24 rule as it pertains to a requested increase.

When I get the letter, I'll update thread confirming this.

Exact wording:

"Too many recent accounts or too much available credit"

(Somewhere around 240,000 in limits)

Score with them was 752.
