Sadly my payment posted a day later than expected, and Discover reported 20% higher than its sitting at now.  But there is always next month, and my Util will be even lower then.  Also I just found out 90s drop off at the date of first delinquency, not the date of 90 past, so My only real neg will drop off in November too.

Hooray for good credit month.

You can actually call discover and have for them to do a fresh update to your credit report to reflect that balance. Smiley Happy

Re: Chase Disney

Excellent to know for the future.   Though this time waiting for my 90 to disappear means waiting is worth it.

This is like playing dnd again, so many fun little rules to learn.

Re: Chase Disney

What is your reasoning behind getting the card? I have both it and the regular Disney Visa, and as another poster mentioned, other than the sign-up bonuses, the cards are pretty much useless unless you use them for EVERYTHING and put a ton of money through them to build up Disney Reward Points (or whatever they're called).

I managed to get a referral to get the regular no-fee Disney card with a $200 gift card after $500 spend. Just got the Premier last month for the same sign-up bonus. So, $400 towards Disney (actually $351 when you subtract the $49 annual fee for the Premier card), but that's about it.

I'm closing my Premier before the next annual fee hits. I keep the other one because it has no fee and the card is adorable (Mickey & Pals design). I keep it in my purse even though I never use it just because it makes me smile when I see it, LOL.

You'd be better off getting either a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited, earning the $150 sign up bonus with no annual fee to worry about, and then use that money at Disney. Plus you're left with a useful cashback card instead of one that earns points/"dollars" that can only be redeemed in the form of a rewards card that you have to use at Disney.

I've had the DIsney Premier since 2012. I think like any credit card, you have to decide what kind of rewards are valuable to you. I actually got this card because DW LOVES Disney and we were planning on going there for our honeymoon. Now we go all the time, usually at least once per year. Spending time there is what is valuable to us. Now that being said, some of the perks are actually pretty nice. The vacation financing for one, I think is the most valuable part of the card imo. The in-park perks like the meet and greet character areas for cardholders are also really nice. Also the last time I went this summer, they had special lounges set up thoughout the parks for cardmembers. Are there better cards? Probably, but for what we use the card for, it serves our needs well, plus I get compliments all the time on my Vader card Smiley Wink

Re: Chase Disney

I also have a toddler who is gaga over Disney. I expect this card will have plenty of uses over the next few years.

Re: Chase Disney

So i got ansy, and applied.  Would have been better if I waited until after the 7th, but was worried something might change for the worse in my profile.

SL 4500,  but I have no idea if they gave me the premier or not, forgot to look for specific wording. Won't get my card for a bit, any my account doesn't have any documents yet.

Re: Chase Disney

That UTI would probably be an auto denial. However, you might have luck at Recon if you can explain your plan to pay it off and how the Chase card comes into play. That high of a UTI would only be useful with Chase once you're in. They tend to reward high UTIs on their cards with auto CLIs, haha. Best of luck.

Re: Chase Disney

I have to say that Chase is my least favorite credit card bank, as their standards seem to be unusually unreasonable.  I wouldn't expect much from them if your having utilization issues.

We are planning a trip to Disney for December 2018, and while checking out I found the offer for a $200 statement credit.  I followed the link and applied, but got a "we will issue a written decision by US mail within 30 days" response.

My FICO 8 ranges between 754 and 780, my utilization is less than 10%.  I have varying CLs on my cards ranging up to $8k.

I was instant approved for $2k AMEX blue cash preferred a few months back (0% for 15 months) but apparently I don't meet the standards for a Chase Disney Visa?

I was only really interested in the $200 statement credit and the 0% for 6 months, but now I'll put it on my daily use Citi Double Cash.

Update...  I called the reconsideration line, and was referred over to their fraud prevention department.  I spoke with an offshore account specialist who verified some of my personal information, then processed the application.  I ended up being approved for $10k after all, without having to ask for any reconsideration.
