Chase Freedom App

Was thinking about applying for the Chase Freedom card. I am currently an AU on my mothers. I previously had a chase amazon with 5K limit. I currently have a Chase checking and savings with about 5K in the accounts. I am over 5/24 and was when I was approved for the Chase Amazon. CS around 680-700. across the board have tons of inqs. Just wanted your opinion. Just thought maybe having a checking and savings with them may have better approval chances.

The amazon visa doesn't factor 5/24. You will likely be instantly denied for the freedom due to 5/24. Possibly check online or in branch to see if you have a pre approval for the freedom and try that way, or wait until you are under 5/24.

If you are past 5/24, having a checking/savings relationship doesn't help anything....you will be auto denied unless you have a preapproval. The Amazon card is a different matter because it isn't part of the 5/24 rule (likely due to partner agreements).

I would either wait until you clear the 5/24 rule or until you get a preapproval, otherwise it's just a waste of another pull.
