Chase Freedom App?

I was just recently approved for the CSP.  I initially got, "we are reviewing your app", then it went to 30 days, then 7-10, all within the span of about an hour.  I called the backdoor number, identity verified and approved....so yay terrific!  I haven't applied for any additional cards at this point, but would like the CFU (for which I'm pre-qualified, according to NerdWallet).  I'm hesitant to apply as I was just approved for the CSP, but the 0% interest for 15 months would be terrific for a purchase I'm planning to make for just over $2000.  I typically PIF on Discover It and Cap 1 QS, plan to change to CSP as my primary card but the CFU would be handy for other purchases (upcoming Disney trip).

My primary concern is that with my CSP approval I am now exactly 5/24.  If I apply do I run the risk of Chase closing the CSP?  I've read that they will sometimes ask you which you prefer to keep.  I'm not worried about the HP at this point as I have no interest in any additional cards or loans for at least a year.

Also curious, I've read that some people have been able to use 1 HP from Chase for multiple cards.  Can I call BD number for that or is it no longer a thing?  I'm not so concerned about the HP, just wondering if bypassing an online app would be possible/in my favor.

If you read all that, thanks for your time and any input you may have Smiley Happy

Cheers!

Re: Chase Freedom App?

Honestly, I would not consider another Chase CC application within a 30-day timeframe from your last one, especially when it comes to their core cards. As far as the "BD" method you described, that's no longer a thing. You can run the risk of having one (or both) accounts shutdown, if the 2nd application gets approved by the system, especially during a secondary internal review. The key thing for you, what is your risk tolerance level on forfeiting the SUB(s)?

Re: Chase Freedom App?

@FinStar , I appreciate your reply and decided to follow your advice.  I know I'm not going to default, but I understand the risk lenders take.  In trying to build and maintain a solid relationship with Chase (and other lenders), I certainly don't want to appear risky.  Thank you for your input.
