Sorry for the denial, but it is strange...
ps. I was approved just 3 months ago with AAoA 7 months (and the oldest account was 8 months)

Honestly, BK isn't even the "dirtiest of dirtiest" because it does show some level of awareness of your credit reports. Charge-offs are often seen as worse. ☺
That honestly makes no sense as a BK 7 you are getting out of your debt and burning the lender.. CO's you usually end up paying at least some if not all of it back to the lender before you get slapped with a judgement/garnishment unless you are in hiding for 6 years and it is for such a tiny amount. One would think a BK 7 would viewed as way worse as the creditors have no recourse to recoup their losses.. Doesn't really make sense to me, but I think your arguement does hold some merit as some creditors prefer BK's to CO's; although maybe this is cause they can't declare BK again for 10 years? I truely just don't understand it, especially if it is a PAID CO (as you are aware and acknowledged your mistake).
Chase doesn't mind some baddies as I had a slew of lates and CO/CA's at time of my approvals for Freedom/CSP.. Granted each credit profile is different and I had long CC history that were in good standing along with tons of auto loans perfect payment history along with mortgages.. So 1 $100 won't ruin you in most cases although is doesn't help your case either.. It is your whole credit file that is taken into consideration unless you are talking about someone like Simmons First or whatever then ya, don't even try
I got my chase card with less than a year's worth of credit history.
I got a Freedom and a Slate with a foreclosure, a repo, a few paid collections, and a few charge offs.
I'm unclean. lol
I agree with you ! I had a BK7 from Jan 2014, not even 2 years old and MY FICO scores are higher !
I was instantly approved for 5k a few months ago with 18 months credit history and AAoA being 9 months...
sorry to hear that, chase has been good to me!
