If you have a pre-approval for or have Freedoms or Sapphires you could just get those and PC it.
You just picked up a handful of LOCs, those are revolvers, ya know?
If I PC my Chase Freedom card I miss out on the opportunity to double dip with both a CFU and a CFF.
Think about Q4. During Christmas break I decide to schedule a trip to Puerto Rico. The total cost is $2500. Use Pay Pal Key to buy it through a online travel agency. If you have both the CFU and CFF you could split it up and earn $12500 points ($2500 x 5). Its a way to double your rotator spend if you have both of them.
Nothing I've picked up has reported yet so it gives me a fighting chance at the CFF in branch. 6/24. 4/12. 2/6. If I don't get it there is nothing to lose as I am already at 12 HPs with Experian.
I'm having a tough time deciding if I want to PC or wait to apply for the CFF.
I definitely want the card, since I don't have a personal MC and I'd like the phone insurance. I could PC now and start paying my cell phone bill with it. Or, I can wait until April when I'm 4/24 (or earlier with a pre-approval) and get a new SUB. I'm not really sure I want to add another card unless it is something I already had an eye on, like a Marriott or Hyatt card. I also don't spend enough to max a category, so I don't really need 2 either.
Decisions, decisions....

Do you think I've got a shot to sneak in a CFF? My scores are well north of 700 so that isn't a factor. But I just have to wonder if Chase will "loosen up" to move a new product like the CFF when its hot off the pressses.
Just go into a branch and ask if you're preapproved for it. If so, then that overrides 5/24.
I would say that Chase doesn't 'loosen up' but it sounds like you're in decent shape for this application.

I set an appontment today with my local branch to apply in person for the CFF.
I don't feel I have anything to lose as I already have a ton of inquires in the past 24 and thick file.
The Hyatt approval I think was actually at 5/24 (counting 1 store card). Then I was approved for AMEX Green 1 day later.
I don't know if I made it because they weren't counting the store card or if it was just Hyatt not counting.
With 2 new PLOCs on the way then possibly 2 buisness cards from other issuers I won't be under 5/24 for 21 months. Who knows where things will be in 21 months from now. Therefore I might as well give it a shot and prove myself wrong or right on the CFF.

I'm 770 average with a DTI of 11%.
Good of time as any.
if going into the branch to apply for a new card, is it possible to get a cli on your current chase card with the same hp or would they do another hp for the cli request?

Everything with Chase is an HP, sometimes 2 HP.
Keep us updated @Citylights18!! I hope it works out! Interested in the outcome.
Good luck and keep us updated !
I'm not sure, but the customer service rep at Chase told me you can only apply to their cards online. Unless she doesn't know what she's talking about.
What was the store card?
