Now the biggest question would be - does the CR that Chase receives have backdated information of the Citi tradeline showing the open date as 1994. If so I may be in the clear, but also I agree that I should build some more history with Chase before applying.
In your eyes, with 5 credit inquiries, how much negative impact does 1 more have? Will I start getting denials due to too many inquiries?
Thanks for the help!
I am surprised that no one suggested going in to your local branch and speaking with a personal banker. They will be able to look you up in their system and know exactly what you've been approved for. And since a personal banker is essentially a sales job, they will try to help you get the card you want since they get credit for every sale (its called a personal value credit) which is used to determine their monthly bonus.

Wow! She's lucky to get offers from Chase like that. Is there anything in specific she did? I'm in the same situation - Part time 15K income college student. I have the Chase Freedom (3 mo) - SL $3,400. Do you know what hers is?
Hoping I get a Pre-Qual soon.
Thanks
