@Anonymous wrote:I applied today for the CFU since my cards reach one year old scoring wise though the true anniversary is in a few days.Trying for the $300 bonus, I just had to enter income from the account page and got the 7-10 day message. Disappointed and slightly surprised (787 EX) since this usually means a denial, I tried the recon line 6:30 in the morning and they had the sense to not be open yet.
An hour and a call later, the representative said a letter was coming in two weeks instead regarding income verification, though we tried to get a head start with some questions on the phone but ended up still having wait for the letter in the end. After entering the new information during the call, they said the denial reason was "income incomplete" and that a signature on the letter would be required. They also recommended to stop by a branch so that they can upload the form to iVault to lower the processing time and continue the application from there.
So the waiting game resumes - this looks like a good sign, but is it still possible I could get denied after sending in the additional info? And should I not apply for any other cards in the mean time in case they need an additional hard pull? This card would put me at 5/24, AU accounts included.
Extra information: no scoreable inquiries or new accounts in the last year, no late payments, one personal card and three AU each one year old exactly, 4% total utilization. Income is pretty low so that it is the most likely reason for denials along with short length of history, I'm only 19 and want to build up the best credit profile for more important financial decisions in the future.
There is always a chance that you still could be denied after providing the requested information but typically if they request the information and are satisfied, then most likely you will be approved. Your EX score is great and if the others match up, your chances are excellent. If one is near I highly recommend visiting a local branch and submitting the paperwork there. Definitely will speed up the process. Good luck

I concur with the above statement.
Thanks for the reassurance, my scores have been pretty similar in the past. Do you know if this sort of income verification will result in a second hard pull? If so, I will wait until the letter comes in and get that resolved before applying for anything else.
