So I just appd for the freedom after having two cards reporting one for just over a year with cap one and 9 months with amex. 718 FICO SCORE, Got the 30 day messaged, called lending, they sent me text and I was approved for freedom with 4500 limit.
Should I go ahead and app for the CSP to combine hard pulls ?
If someone can give Deli a solid answer I'd love to know!
Don't follow my advice but I would say try applying if you don't plan on applying for any other cards within 6 months, if you get denied you still have your other cards to build points on. Also heard it's not worth it to apply for the CSP if you aren't going to spend the money to receive the sign-up bonus in the first 3 months.
My goal is to get the same combination so I can travel hack. If you have time, search this video on youtube that pertains to those cards:
BEST Credit Card system for getting FREE Flights (2017)
I'd say go for it if you want the card. You already got the Freedom approved so anything else from here on out for today will use the same HPs. Worse care you get denied and are sitting pretty good with your approval

Excellent point. I'm always operating on the assumption that people who apply for travel cards like the CSP have the spend necessary to meet the signup bonus. Probably not something I should do but can't be helped as I never think about it.
Went ahead and applied for CSP, got 30 day messaged, called lending... Declined , too many recent inquires, aaof, and something else. Will try recon later but not expecting much.
Not sad though, onboard with chase which is good and ill get the CSP down the road once I have accumlated points and time with freedom. 4500 limit was very generous.
"Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained." I love this one. You should sell it to Capital One for their Venture Card line!

4500 is VERY generous! If you do plan on implementing your Reward Points for travel be sure to just save all your points you accumulate and transfer them to your CSP card later on down the road. With the CSP you're able to convert the points to miles at a 1:1 ratio, which is more worth it for travel points than to convert them to cash because you'll get wayyyy less cash value than miles. If you don't care to travel, then cash is good too!
If you're already getting HP on your credit you also might as well apply now for the Chase Freedom Unlimited because you can maximize your point gains by using the Unlimited card on every other purchase for the quarter that isn't in the 5% category on the Freedom card. That way you can have both cards in your wallet and use the one you need. Both of those cards will then accumulate the Ultimate Rewards points and can both be transferred later down the line to the CSR. - This is the goal I'm trying to do.
Another good reason is if you get approved you'll establish AAoA on both lines at the same time.
Just be sure to remember Chase's 5/24 rule - meaning you'll automatically be denied if you have opened 5 total credit accounts within the last 24 months.
It was a good day!
