Checked my Chase banking/FU account online today for pre-approvals and like always, none was there. Decided to make a quick visit to the branch to check to see if I had any approvals at the branch. Lo and behold I have two preapprovals for the Freedom and CSP, was hoping for a CSR preapproval but the CPC told me that Chase doesn't do pre-approvals for CSR anymore.
I am at 5/24 until November but if I understand things correctly that shouldn't matter for in-branch offers? Although the CSR is the card that I want; should I app for the CSP and p/c for CSR? I don't feel like my current credit score (FICO8 650) (85k income) is strong enough to get approved for the CSR. Also I'm guessing that if I app for CSR that I would get denied because of 5/24 anyway.
Any feedback would be great!
Thanks for the reply. Updated my sig to reflect some of the questions you asked. My util currently is 2%, AAoc is 7 years, I have alot of inquiries from the middle of last year (10 in the last 12 months) because I was looking to purchase a home and went about it the wrong way. I have 3 baddies (well 2 now, as I wrote a letter and just got one removed last week) that I working on clearing up (AMEX $938 & Tmobile $950) and I have some 30/60 day lates from about two years ago on some paid off credit cards.
I wasn't expecting any type of preapproval at all from Chase but my ultimate goal is to get the trifecta, especially since I travel a lot, so the sooner I can get there, the sooner I can get to the garden.

Income, utilization and length of credit history appear to be in good order for CSP. The only items that could potentially hinder an approval would be the negative items, low scores and/or inquiries. Perhaps once the negative items are fully removed from all your CRs then that could optimize things for you. Just keep in mind that in-branch approvals are still YEMV, even if you are pre-approved and >5/24.
