Don't know of anyone who got approved for the Chase Freedom with those FICOs, but I know of someone who got the 7-10 day message with a FICO around 654, then had the card come in the mail a few weeks later with a limit of $1500.
Meanwhile, I just got denied for not enough history with a TU FICO of 706, called the reconsideration line, and was approved for $500.
Credit underwriting can be weird sometimes...

Sometmes it can come down to if they are having a good day or bad day!
However, with all joking aside I find a great attidude helps out a lot. As I'm sure they mus get some pretty angry phone calls. "MY CREDIT IS PERFECT AND I DEMAND YOUR CC!"

This.
Yes.
My FICO wasn't that much better than yours, in NJ Chase pulled my TU which is almost spotless now.
But I received the 7-10 message for both Freedom (last week) and CSP (this morning).
I called recon: 888-245-0625 and was very friendly, eventually saying "I recently put in an application and received a 7-10 day message, I'm calling to see if there's anything on my end that needs to be done to help the process". After that, the person said there was a consumer alert or something to that effect and they needed the verification department. I was transferred to them and they needed to verify my phone number.
Long story short - I was approved for both Chase cards.
So, while it make seem bleak, it is worth a shot to call the recon line...no point entirely wasting the hard pull/inquiry without putting in a few extra minutes. I preferred calling right away as opposed to waiting for the letter or card to arrive.
Good luck!!

Care to share your scores? Also what's the limit they gave you. Looking to apply this month for both Chase cards.
Amex shows a FICO of 640, beyond that I have no idea right now. I just know TU is almost clear with EQ and EX bringing up the rear in my repair efforts.
AAoA is pretty good
Freedom $4.5k
CSP $5k
Chase pulled TU for Freedom, I haven't yet received an alert for the CSP pull as I applied this morning.
