Chase Freedom odd decline

Hello Everyone,

I recently applied for a Chase Freedom card and got the standard 7-10 message. I got a letter today that said my reason for denial was "To many credit cards opened in the last 2 years" Has anyone seen this before? I have opened the bulk of my cards in the last two years, about 6 cards total over the last two years.

Think it's possible to call a person and have them do another review? Or maybe not worth it.

EQ - 699

EP - 678

TU - 686

Looks like they pulled EXP for the credit report. I do have some student loans that have some 120+ past due, but from 6 years ago now and a few 30 days from some CC's 8-9 months ago. That is all the negative info on my credit report.

Thanks in advance!
