I think my point is missed despite my perception of why I was approved being potentially wrong.
The majority of what Ive read around here says don't call. Period.
I'm saying call...and ask if there's anything you need to do to facilitate the process. Not ask if youre approved or denied. I spoke with lending both times and all they did was check the status and refer me to verification. So in calling lending...I couldve risked being denied if the system didbt auto approve me?
What are the odds of getting approved automatically but the same app not getting approved when reviewed by a manual UW?
If not approved automatically...whats chase's process? Would it end up reviewed by a human at some point?
This has been studied here many times over the past year (and proven many times IMHO)... Profiles like ours (a lot of posters here have many more accounts than the average joe) may do better when staying away from Chase's manual review. I'm sure this does not affect everyone.
I was editing when you posted. I know about the status line.
I guess I was the luckiest mofo this past week then since two apps were aporoved when calling into lending.
In those 40 days thats passed since your declines...no positive changes to your credit report? You applied for the same cards?
Not trying to be an ass...just trying to figure out their process...which I assume is like trying to understand the cosmos.
It is annoying having only seemingly anecdotal evidence...blame my job.

Isn't that exactly what you're using to defend your position?
