Chase Marriott Application

So I just applied for the Chase Marriott Rewards card with Chase and got a message that they will review my application and get back to me in 30 days.  I've never received this message before.  I've always been instantly approved or declined.  I'll probably give Chase a call later if I have time.

What does this kind of message mean?

I just applied for the Sapphire and got a simular message.  I should have stopped while I was ahead.  Knew I was pushing my luck.

Mine said

We'll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can.  If we approve your application you'll recieve your card in the mail in 7 - 10 business days.

I have never seen this one before

Most likely verification, call them now and see what other info they may need.

No experience with single app.

DW got Freedom and Marriott then tried for one more AARP.  AARP gave that message and they said it was due to 2 apps already done within 30 days.  So AARP was declined just for that reason.

I would think that if you call they most likely would want verification then decision

It was my second app in a week was apporved for United last week.  I guess I should call them and see what is up.

Thank you.  Got off the phone with the fraud dpartment and was approved!!  Thanks for the nudge to call

Called the number today and still getting the message that I will receive a written notice in 30 days of their decision.  Guess I'll just wait until next week to check again...
