Chase Offers

Logged into my account today and I have two offers from Chase.  One is the Chase Unlimited and the second is the Chase Slate.  How realisitic are these offeres directly from Chase on their website?  Is it pretty much a guarantee?  I've wanted the chase Unlimited for a while now as I can then get rid of my QS.  Id like to do the Chase Slate as well because I'm planning a home improvement project in a month and being able to purchase and then transfer the debt onto a 0% card for free for 15 months would be great.

I'd hope for both but I'd probably try for slate first.  Does anyone have experiance with using the online offers.  This is what the scren looks like.

Re: Chase Offers

I have found Chase pre-qualifies to be solid. Of course there aren't any guarantees but when you have an offer especially when it's a specific APR versus the normal range, baring any major decline in your CR's you should be fine. Even though the Slate isn't worth much unless you're transferring a balance Chase combines pulls, I applied for my freedom unlimited and minutes later CSP and there was one pull. Good luck

Re: Chase Offers

I'd like to app for both.  That way I can build my UR points up again.  I would take advantage of the balance transfer.  My credit is solid with no lates or defaults or anything negitive on my report.  The only thing that worries me is that I've opened 6 cards in the last 2 years.  One of them being the CSP.  I also have a mortgage opened last May.  I know their 5/24 rule but I have heard they break it for people that have been very responsible with the cards they have through Chase.

Re: Chase Offers

Since you're past the 5/24 rule I'd bet you wouldn't get an instant approval, Chase has very resonable people within their recon group. I'd say go for it, you just got a mortgage so you can afford 2-4 HP points.

Re: Chase Offers

I took an offer for the FU a couple months ago while I was over 5/24.  I think I was actually at 7/10 and it went through without a hiccup.

Your wrong, prequals in the "your offers" bypass the 5/24 rule. Many data points to prove this, he likely would be instantly approved.

Re: Chase Offers

To apply for both online you will probably get locked in a 30 day pattern. If you need both before March, might need a branch visit

Re: Chase Offers

If I app for Slate first and get instant approval then app for Unlimited.  I should get slate in the mail within 5-7 days right?  I may have to wait for unlimited though right?

Re: Chase Offers

Just Applied and was approved for 6.2K, kind of low if you ask me but I am going to recon when I get the card.  Should I app for FU now?
